Zoë’s interest in enamelling began when she wanted to add colour to silver jewellery. This led to a fascination with traditional enamelling techniques, in particular basse-taille in which patterns are hand engraved under the enamel.
Enamel brings silver to life. The light reflected through enamel from an engraved silver surface brings movement, shape and depth to jewellery. Not only is the finished result beautiful, the process of creation is addictive, bringing a piece out of a kiln and watching colours develop is an endless fascination.
Zoë makes unique hand crafted enamel pieces on sterling silver. She uses traditional enamel techniques and hand engraves under the transparent enamel to bring depth and sparkle.
