Designer and enameller. Wall panels on copper with
applied enamel and precious metal foils.
I am greatly interested in the underlying structure
and pattern in both natural forms and manmade objects.
I am excited by the way in which structures are distorted and reformed
into other structures by reflections, weathering, ageing and destruction,
even in the violence of bombing or natural disaster. The use of
tools or acid and the firing process itself, subjecting glass and
metal to heat, mirror the destruction of surface by nature and man.
Some of my enamels are based on spirals -- a theme I return to periodically.
I relate these forms to human life with a central interior being
spiralling out to other people and interests and simultaneously
drawing enrichment into a still centre.
Exhibitions: both national
and international including France, Germany, America, Canada, and
Lithuania.
