After graduating from the Central School of Art and Design in 1990, I had developed a passion for enamelling. Taught by such skilled enamellers as Jane Short and Fred Rich, I soon realised the medium’s potential.

My career within a well-known bullion company took me away from developing my skill as an enameller. It wasn’t until a jeweller friend encouraged me to try and rekindle the skills I had learnt, that Aurum Enamels was born.

Aurum enamels consists of Robert Jones, a jeweller and silversmith who makes the pieces, and myself. Together we produce a range of jewellery and small work using the technique of cloisonné, which has sold as far afield as San Francisco.

I hope in the future to develop my skills to encompass the full spectrum of enamelling techniques.
