'Playing with Fire', a major juried exhibition of contemporary UK enamelling took place at the Devon Guild, Bovey Tracey, Devon in September 2008.

The 15 selected enamellers  from across the United Kingdom showed off the wealth and diversity of enamelling talent and practice throughout the country.

The aim of this exhibition was to raise the appreciation of enamelling and show the work of the best contemporary enamellers in the UK. A wide range of enamelling was represented, showing a variety of techniques, both historical and experimental, and work that emphasizes the role played by the intentions of the artists.
